Du 15 juin au 13 juillet 2025, les États-Unis deviennent le théâtre d’un tournoi d’envergure planétaire : la nouvelle Coupe du monde des clubs de la FIFA.
Exit les anciennes formules, place à une version XXL avec 32 équipes, des stades légendaires et un suspense taillé pour les amoureux du beau jeu. Et cette fois, le Paris Saint-Germain sera l’unique représentant français dans cette grande fête du foot.
Un tournoi inédit, une planète unie autour du ballon
C’est une révolution pour la FIFA : réparties en huit groupes de quatre, 32 équipes venues des six confédérations vont se disputer un trophée encore jamais remporté dans ce format. L’idée ? Couronner un véritable « champion du monde des clubs » en conditions de Coupe du monde.
Avec douze formations européennes (dont le Real Madrid, Manchester City ou le Bayern), six d’Amérique du Sud (comme River Plate ou Flamengo), cinq nord-américaines, quatre asiatiques, quatre africaines (dont le Wydad AC) et une d’Océanie, l’affiche est cosmopolite.
PSG : un parcours hollywoodien
Pour le PSG, le voyage commence en Californie. Les hommes de Luis Enrique affrontent l’Atlético de Madrid d’Antoine Griezmann dès le 15 juin, dans l’écrin du Rose Bowl de Los Angeles. Ils y reviendront le 19 juin pour affronter Botafogo, avant de clôturer leur phase de groupes à Seattle contre les Sounders le 23 juin.
